Drift Boat Trips
Schedule a full-day, half-day, or happy hour excursion in our 16-ft. Hyde drift boat for 1 or 2 anglers. This is a “Western-style” fishing trip. Fish hard or easy, take in the scenery or remain laser-focused on the water—whatever you want from your trip, I’ll make it happen.

Full-Day Trip ($500)
This is the all-in, 8-hour adventure for 1 or 2 guests. We’ll float and fish the wild and scenic Upper Mississippi River*, stripping streamers, bouncing crayfish patterns, and floating top-water bugs for big eats from the meatiest bronzebacks in the country.
*Spring on the Mississippi can be unpredictable with respect to flow, water temp, and clarity, but many nearby tributaries present themselves with more “settled-in” conditions much earlier. Let me know if you’re interested in pursuing an “off-grid” river with excellent opportunities for smallies!

What you need to bring:
• Polarized Sunglasses
• Minnesota Fishing License (for all anglers age 16 and over)
• Weather-appropriate Clothing
If you’re part of a larger group (family, corporate outing, college buddies, etc.) reach out so I can coordinate with another trusted full-time guide for an epic day on the river.
A $100 deposit is required at time of booking. Deposit is refundable if cancellation is made two weeks prior to arranged date. If I have to cancel due to weather the deposit is refunded. Remaining balance of your trip is due on the date of—cash, Google Pay, check, and Venmo are all accepted.
Gratuities are greatly appreciated.

We’ll float and fish the wild and scenic Upper Mississippi River, stripping streamers, bouncing crayfish patterns, and floating top-water bugs for big eats from the meatiest bronzebacks in the country. An excellent option for parents and kids.

Summer evenings on the Mississippi River are truly magical. Lower light and healthy hatches make for some of the day’s best fishing. We’ll float and fish the wild and scenic Upper Mississippi River from 5pm to dark (2-3 hours) stripping streamers, bouncing crayfish patterns, and floating top-water bugs for big eats from the meatiest bronze-backs in the country. This trip can be made closer to Minneapolis if desired. For 1 or 2 anglers, this option is perfect for couples.

Learn the basics of fly-casting, or work on more specialized techniques such as the double-haul.

• Casting lessons take place at Anoka-Ramsey Community College, Coon Rapids, on the banks of the Mississippi River.
Cost: $100/hr, additional students are $30/hr
